Easter College proves its arnis prowess |

Last June 25, 2010, EC High School garnered the 5th Runner-up in the overall 25 participating schools in Baguio-Benguet on the 1st Igorot Arnis Club Invitational Arnis Tournament with a theme: “Peneg-asan she Kaigorotan 2010” (Hatawan sa Kaigorotan). The event was held at Benguet Capitol Covered Court at La Trinidad, Benguet. EC received a trophy including medals for 6 students who won out of 15 EC representatives, namely: Jonathan Talbo and Rowena Rullan (gold), Konstanz Perez and Cathy Balaoing (silver), Alyza Docyogen and Kelly Besa-ang (bronze). The rest received certificates. |

Phoenix Cup Benchmark Season Starts |

A medium of instigating the pursuit of athleticism among Easterites has now been established through the initiative of Mr. Ariel Arellano, one of the alumni and now a faculty of the College of Nursing. Dubbed as the Phoenix Cup, the event was first conceptualized by Mr. Arellano owing to his love for basketball and his observation that promoting sports in the campus would do wonders to sports enthusiasts. Supported by Mr. Jason Delson, John Rhey Zarate, Jeremy Malaga, and Caesar Alim, the idea was successfully launched last June 30, 2010 at the college gymnasium.
