In order to achieve its theme “ Science ,Technology and Innovation in the K to 12 Curriculum: Working Together for Growth, Development and Environmental Conservation” , the Department of Education Baguio- Science Division under the leadership of the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Mary A. Lang-ayan, held its annual Division Science Festival last September 7-9, 2012 at the PFVR Gym, Military Cut-off.
The festival required participants from both public and private schools in sci- dama, sci-quiz, sci-arts(painting, poster making and collage),sayawit, debate, lakan and lakambini and investigatory project.
Tiffany Anne Galong, a grade seven student, ranked first place in sci quiz. Stephen Batnag, a sophomore, topped the sci-dama-sci notation category. Ian Gaboy, a second year student, landed second place in painting.
Top 3 winners in the event were given medals and certificates during the awarding ceremony last September 9,2012.
Those who ranked first will represent the City of Baguio in the Regional Science Festival to be held in Tabuk, Kalinga on October 5-6, 2012.
The participants were accompanied by their coaches, Arturo A. Bastian,Jr., Julius M. Panayo and Anabelle M. Botengan.
